## Breaking Free from Jezebel & Leviathan: Escaping Manipulation, Confusion, and Spiritual Bondage

---

🎧 INTRO

Hey beautiful people… welcome back to Healing Women of Color.

This is a space where we heal honestly, grow intentionally, and talk about the things many people are afraid to say out loud.

And tonight’s conversation is deep.

Tonight we’re talking about manipulation.

Control.

Confusion.

Discernment.

Spiritual warfare.

Emotional exhaustion.

And what many people describe as Jezebel and Leviathan spirits.

Now before we begin, I want to say something important:

This episode is not about fear.

It’s not about obsessing over demons or labeling every difficult person as evil.

This conversation is about discernment.

Because whether you understand these things spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, or all three… there are relationships and environments that slowly disconnect you from your peace, your clarity, your confidence, and even your identity.

And God did not create you to live in confusion.

So tonight… we are exposing unhealthy patterns, reclaiming our peace, and talking about how to truly break free through wisdom, prayer, boundaries, healing, and Jesus Christ.

🎧 WHAT PEOPLE MEAN BY JEZEBEL & LEVIATHAN

When many Christians refer to a “Jezebel spirit,” they are usually talking about patterns of:

- manipulation,

- seduction,

- control,

- domination,

- emotional exploitation,

- narcissism,

- and attention-seeking behavior.

And let me make this very clear:

these patterns can exist in BOTH men and women.

This isn’t about gender.

It’s about behavior.

Some people gain control through intimidation.

Others gain control through charm, emotional dependency, sexuality, guilt, or validation.

And the dangerous thing about manipulation is:

it rarely looks dangerous in the beginning.

Sometimes it looks charismatic.

Sometimes it looks wounded.

Sometimes it even looks spiritual.

And that’s why discernment matters.

Now when people talk about Leviathan, they’re often describing patterns connected to:

- pride,

- deception,

- confusion,

- chaos,

- twisting truth,

- division,

- and emotional instability.

This is the kind of behavior that leaves you constantly:

- defending yourself,

- questioning yourself,

- explaining yourself,

- and emotionally exhausted.

And over time…

you slowly stop recognizing yourself.

---

🎧 THE SPIRIT OF CONFUSION

One of the biggest signs that something unhealthy is happening spiritually or emotionally is confusion.

Because manipulation thrives in confusion.

Healthy love brings clarity.

Healthy communication brings peace.

Healthy relationships should not consistently leave you mentally spinning.

If every conversation leaves you:

- anxious,

- emotionally drained,

- second-guessing yourself,

- or afraid to speak honestly…

that is not healthy.

Some people create chaos intentionally because confusion gives them control.

When you’re confused:

- you become easier to manipulate,

- easier to silence,

- and easier to emotionally dominate.

And many people don’t realize they’ve slowly been conditioned to distrust themselves.

You begin saying:

“Maybe I’m overreacting.”

“Maybe I’m too sensitive.”

“Maybe I’m the problem.”

Meanwhile your spirit keeps feeling unsettled.

---

🎧 HOW LEVIATHAN-LIKE CHAOS OPERATES

Now let’s go deeper into chaos… because this is where many people become spiritually and emotionally exhausted without realizing what’s happening.

Chaos keeps people distracted.

Because when your life is constantly full of confusion:

- you can’t think clearly,

- you can’t rest emotionally,

- and eventually you lose confidence in your own discernment.

That’s why chaos is dangerous.

Not because everything is dramatic all the time…

but because it slowly wears your spirit down.

One of the biggest ways this happens is through distortion.

You say something simple…

and somehow your words become twisted.

You express hurt…

and suddenly YOU become the problem.

You try to communicate clearly…

and leave conversations more confused than when you entered them.

That emotional confusion trains people to stop trusting themselves.

And eventually, you become exhausted from constantly defending your reality.

---

🎧 PRIDE & DIVISION

Another thing connected to Leviathan-like behavior is pride.

Pride refuses accountability.

Pride always has to be right.

Pride twists conversations to protect ego.

Some people will:

- deny what they said,

- rewrite history,

- blame everyone else,

- or avoid accountability completely…

because admitting the truth would require humility.

And humility is necessary for healing.

Without humility, relationships become battlegrounds instead of safe spaces.

Another dangerous thing about chaos is division.

Some people:

- gossip,

- triangulate,

- spread half-truths,

- manipulate narratives,

- or subtly rally people against you.

And suddenly your intentions are questioned, your reputation is attacked, and you feel isolated.

But isolation is dangerous because isolated people are easier to control.

---

🎧 DISCERNMENT IS BORN THROUGH PRAYER

Now let’s talk about discernment.

Discernment is not paranoia.

Discernment is spiritual and emotional clarity.

And yes…

discernment grows through prayer.

Prayer quiets the noise.

Prayer helps you hear beyond attraction, attachment, loneliness, and emotion.

But here’s the truth:

Sometimes we don’t need more signs.

We need the courage to accept what God already showed us.

Because many times:

the red flags were already there,

the inconsistency was already there,

the confusion was already there…

but we kept trying to make it make sense.

A real prayer life doesn’t just comfort you.

It confronts you.

Sometimes God exposes people through:

- repeated patterns,

- lack of peace,

- contradictions,

- emotional exhaustion,

- dishonesty,

- and the fruit they consistently produce.

And sometimes the hardest part of discernment…

is accepting the truth after you finally see it.

---

🎧 JEZEBEL & EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION

Now let’s go deeper into Jezebel-like manipulation.

Because manipulation doesn’t always come aggressively.

Sometimes it comes beautifully packaged.

Some people desire control—but gain it indirectly.

Through:

- charm,

- seduction,

- emotional dependency,

- attention,

- guilt,

- validation,

- or psychological influence.

And seduction is not always sexual.

Sometimes people seduce emotionally.

They study your wounds.

They learn your insecurities.

They figure out what makes you feel chosen, needed, or seen…

and then use that access to influence your emotions.

That’s why discernment matters so much.

Because not everyone who gives attention has good intentions.

---

🎧 EMOTIONAL DEPENDENCY & ATTENTION

One major sign of manipulation is emotional dependency.

This is when someone slowly conditions you to:

- constantly seek their approval,

- fear losing them,

- emotionally revolve around them,

- or attach your peace to their attention.

Your confidence becomes attached to how they treat you.

Your emotional stability becomes attached to their mood.

And eventually…

you begin abandoning yourself to maintain connection.

That is dangerous.

Because healthy love should not require you to lose your identity.

Another thing about Jezebel-like patterns is attention.

Some people constantly need:

- admiration,

- emotional control,

- validation,

- or influence over others.

Even when it’s concealed.

And when they feel rejected or exposed, manipulation often increases.

---

🎧 SPIRITUAL MANIPULATION

And this part is important.

Manipulation is not always worldly.

Sometimes it sounds spiritual.

Some people weaponize:

- scripture,

- spirituality,

- prophecy,

- guilt,

- or “God told me…”

to emotionally control others.

And spiritually vulnerable people may stay because they fear disobeying God.

But hear me carefully:

God does not use confusion, manipulation, fear, or emotional domination to control His children.

Discernment is necessary because spiritual language can still be used manipulatively.

---

🎧 HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF

Now let’s talk protection.

Because discernment without boundaries still leaves people vulnerable.

And protection is not paranoia.

Protection is wisdom.

1. Stay close to God.

Develop a real prayer life and ask for wisdom, peace, discernment, and emotional clarity daily.

2. Pay attention to fruit, not charm.

Patterns reveal truth more than words do.

3. Guard your mind.

Not every voice deserves access to your spirit.

4. Stop ignoring red flags.

Sometimes God already answered you through repeated patterns.

5. Set strong boundaries.

You do not owe unlimited access to people who repeatedly disrupt your peace.

6. Heal your own wounds.

Unhealed wounds can make manipulation feel familiar.

7. Stop trying to save people who refuse accountability.

You cannot heal people through self-sacrifice.

🎧 MOMENT OF SOFTNESS & HEALING

And I want to pause here for the women listening who feel emotionally exhausted…

For the women who stayed too long because they loved deeply.

For the women who ignored themselves trying to hold onto connection.

I need you to hear me clearly tonight:

You are not stupid for wanting love.

You are not weak for caring deeply.

And you are not broken because someone manipulated your heart, your trust, or your emotions.

Some of you survived environments that slowly disconnected you from yourself.

And now you’re trying to rebuild trust in your own discernment again.

That healing takes time.

But peace is still possible after confusion.

You can rebuild your confidence.

You can trust yourself again.

You can hear God clearly again.

And you can experience relationships that do not require chaos to survive.

You are still worthy of healthy love.

Still worthy of peace.

Still worthy of honesty.

Still worthy of emotional safety.

---

🎧 JESUS CHRIST & DELIVERANCE

Now I want to say this carefully and responsibly.

I believe Jesus Christ brings healing, freedom, wisdom, peace, and deliverance.

But deliverance is not always dramatic.

Sometimes deliverance looks like:

- clarity,

- boundaries,

- therapy,

- accountability,

- emotional healing,

- repentance,

- community,

- and finally walking away from what was destroying you emotionally.

Sometimes the miracle is not the relationship surviving.

Sometimes the miracle is YOU finally choosing yourself and your peace.

---

🎧 CLOSING EMPOWERMENT

This season…

we are no longer calling confusion chemistry.

We are no longer romanticizing chaos.

We are no longer abandoning ourselves just to keep unhealthy connections alive.

This season, we are choosing clarity—even when it’s uncomfortable.

We are choosing boundaries—even when it’s hard.

And we are choosing ourselves—even when it means walking away from what we hoped would work.

This new version of you…

doesn’t ignore red flags because there’s history.

doesn’t beg for understanding from people committed to misunderstanding you.

and doesn’t stay where your spirit feels heavy, confused, or constantly unsettled.

This new version of you trusts what she sees.

She honors what she feels.

And she moves accordingly.

You are not weak for loving deeply.

But you are powerful when you stop abandoning yourself to keep someone else.

You are an overcomer…

not because you endured everything,

but because you finally decided:

“I deserve peace more than I need this connection.”

And hear me clearly tonight:

Anything that consistently destroys your peace, clarity, emotional stability, identity, or connection with God…

does not deserve unlimited access to you.

This season:

we are choosing alignment over attachment,

truth over illusion,

clarity over confusion,

and peace over chaos.

You are becoming wiser.

Stronger.

More discerning.

More whole.

And with God’s guidance…

you are breaking free.
